We are highly responsive to your cruise ship’s berthing schedule. Tour departure times in our booking system are specifically modified to reflect when guests arrive at the port, ensuring you have a comfortable hour from berthing time to your tour’s departure from the Albany Visitor Centre.
Here is the part that matters most: every guest is guaranteed back at the Albany Visitor Centre at least one hour before your ship’s scheduled departure. You will never feel rushed, and you will never be cutting it fine. Getting you back on board safely and on time is built into how we plan each tour.
Getting From the Port to Your Tour
All Albany Tours shore excursions pick up from the Albany Visitor Centre at 221 York Street, in the heart of the city. There are two easy ways to get there from the Port of Albany.
Free shuttle bus. A free shuttle service runs from the Port and drops cruise guests at the Albany Visitor Centre and the centre of town. The journey takes about 8 minutes. This is the simplest option, and it is the one most guests choose.
Walk into town. If you would rather stretch your legs, you can walk from the Port to the city centre in around 20 minutes. The route follows paved pathways and dedicated pedestrian ways the whole way, so it is comfortable and easy to follow.
